Saw It. Pinned It. Did It: Snowmen Ornaments

November 29, 2012

I'm here today for another Saw It. Pinned It. Did It
with Stephanie and Katie. This is becoming one of my favorite link ups.
For reals. I mean honestly why did I never think of this?
Dumb Stormy, dumb!

Today I've got two adorable little ornaments to show you.
I found these on Pinterest (of course) and added to them to make them more of my own creation. And they are both SUPER simple so there's no reason y'all can't make one ten for yourself!

Adorable Snowmen Creations:

This one is SO easy! Glue three styrofoam balls together and wrap with yarn. They can be little for an ornament or larger if you're looking for a decorative snowman. Next glue some buttons and wrap a small piece of fabric around the neck as a scarf. Twist a couple pieces of wire into arms and one into a hat. And voila! Adorable yarn snowman! I bought the balls at the dollar store in a pack of 10 for $1. The yarn, buttons, fabric and wire I had on hand. Meaning each ornament cost about $0.33!

These are also WAY easy! Take a glass ornament and paint a snowman face on it. Two black dots for eyes, five black dots for a mouth and a carrot shaped nose. Let dry. When dry add to pom poms and a pipe cleaner in your choice of color for the ear muffs. Then fill with some fake snow & enjoy! Again simple and cheap! I bought the glass ornaments on sale last year for $1.00 for a pack of six. The pipe cleaners, paint, and pom poms where all Dollar Store finds (and came in HUGE packages!) The fake snow was about $2.00 but it was also a huge bag and could do tons of these. At most these probably cost about $0.30 a piece.

And that my loves is all I have for you today!
If you don't already click on the "Follow Me" up there and let's get this party started! If all else fails we can stalk check out each others SI.PI.DI posts each week! Peace dolls!

  1. They are so cute! I really love the green buttons that you chose for the first little snowman. My Christmas tree is heavily snowman themed...not sure how that happened, it wasn't intentional, but I'll roll with it!
