But Baby There You Go Again, Go Again

November 6, 2012

Today I'm linking up today with Anna from The Days When I'm Not A Nurse
and Renee from This Won't Hurt A Bit for their monthly nursing link ups. Today's link up is one that I think you'll all enjoy...it's a little "about me" post. I've written plenty of these type of posts before but I'll try and come up with some new stuff for you :)

+I'll blow out 24 birthday candles in just 16 days. Which also
happens to be Thanksgiving day so make sure to include
me in your thankful list. And if you want to bake me a cake and/or
get me a gift I wouldn't mind that either.
Just sayin'

+I'm the daughter of two extremely supportive parents. Without them
I wouldn't be half of the person I am today. I have two sisters and
one brother. We might not all always get along but we're family and would
do just about anything for each other.

+I married the love of my life on 09.15.12! That's right, just 52 days ago!
It was a day that I'll never forget and the one day that made me the
luckiest girl in the world, and one darn proud wife. We spent our first newlywed
week beachin' it in Mexico and fell in LOVE with the atmosphere there!
We're headed back to enjoy our 1st anniversary on the very same beaches!

+We're working on renovating our first home...to sell it.
Call us crazy but we're looking to be in a new home by next spring/summer!

+I have 5 nephews and not one darn niece.
I love them just the same though.

+I'm a nurse on a Medical/Cardiac/Oncology floor and while there
are days that I question my Ilife's decision I'm officially addicted to being
a nurse. Being with your patient's during times of joy and sorrow, sharing
in their laughs and tears is addicting.

+I'd eventually like to work in Pediatrics/Labor & Delivery.
And then someday get my tush back to school to get my
Masters in Nurse Education degree so I can become a nursing
instructor. Then my dreams of being a teacher will finally be true!

+11 hours of sleep is what makes me feel my best.
And how often does that happen? Ehh...never!

+I, graduated high school with 51 other people.
With all of the classes combined, plus staff my high school only
had 250 people in it. And I LOVED it! Hubs and I have agreed that someday
our children will attend the same school. The town we live in now has graduating classes of 400-500. FAR too large for what I want for our children!

+I'm momma to two furbabies. Macy & Millie.
They are adorable but drive me CRAZY!

+When I get really tired I start to itch all over and get
beyond crabby. Like total b---h fit in 30 seconds flat.

+I swear WAY too much. Totally un-lady like I know.
I'm trying, I'm trying.

+ I hate wet feet. Like rain soaking through shoes wet feet.
Nasty, nasty, nasty!

+Stinky wounds and traches are the things I most dread at work.

+I hate being poked with needles but have no problems poking
my patients. Does that make me heartless?

+I love lazy nights cuddled up on the couch with my hubby, our pups
and tons of blankets.

+In order to fall asleep I need two pillows and a soft blanket to
cozy my face into. I fall sleep in the fetal position but wake up flat on my back.

+I do NOT like beer. That probably means I'm a terrible
Wisconsinite but I'll deal. Give me something fruity and I'm a happy girl.

+Successfully starting an IV makes my day :)

+While scrubs may be the most comfortable clothing in the world somedays
I'd love to go to work in cute "office" clothes

+Eight hour meetings put me to sleep. And we have TONS
of them at work! Ick!

+I fully love being a wife, pup mother, daughter, sister,
friend, co-worker, nurse, blogger even though life gets way
crazy sometimes!

  1. Haha, this was so cute! What a small graduating class! I would have killed for that. Must have been kind of nice to be able to know everyone. I graduated with about 400 others. Too much!
