Saw It. Pinned It. Did It: Earring Holder Frame

January 31, 2013

Happy Thursday loves!
And trust me it is a happy Thursday. Want to know a few reasons why it's a happy Thursday? Here they are:

I have the day off

Got to sleep in

Cheated on my no caffeine and had a half of a cappi

Got my hair cut and

And I'm about to pig out on a huge baked potato with bacon and cheese.
Hello heartache on a plate.

Plus, there's some terribly exciting stuff happening this afternoon.
More on that later. I love keeping y'all in suspense ;)

Thursdays are also the day for the Saw It. Pinned It. Did It link up
with Steph and Katie

See? Pretty amazeball Thursday right?
In order to not disappoint y'all I have yet another Pinterest inspired craft. This is actually one I created awhile ago and has been all over Pinterest but I'm pretty sure it's still genius and worth sharing.

Inspiration:

Creation:

This was another super simple craft. The frame I already had on hand and we just took the photo and glass out of it and replaced it with a piece of radiator cover. Simple, cheap and adorbs. {If I do say so myself}

Wedding Recap: Our First Look

January 30, 2013

Last week I started off our wedding photo reveal with our Getting Ready photos. If you missed them head over here and check them out.
Today I've got some more photos for you. Possibly some of the most touching to my soul...the photos of our first look. The first time I saw my {to be} husband in his tux waiting to make me his wife. I'm going to leave this post with few words.
The feelings I had in this moment where feelings of joy, excitement, blessings, and pure happiness. I will never be able to properly explain how I felt walking towards my best friend who soon became my husband. The memories bring me to tears. I quite sure that I am the luckiest girl in the world.

Wedding Recap: First Look

Hubs and I opted to do a first look for two reasons.
The first being to give us a chance alone during the day. It literally was the only half hour we where alone and could talk about the day together. And for that I am ever so grateful. The second reason was to ease the flow of the day. For us it made more sense to do majority of the photos prior to the ceremony so not to hold our guests up and make them wait hours for dinner.

While I've loved taking some time away to refresh and refocus I'm itching to get back to you ladies. That's right I said it...I miss you! Blogging is amazing. More than I ever thought it could be but I think it's important for each and everyone of us to take a step back and recharge. It's important to get out there and experience the world so that the words we share are real, full of inspiration and captivating.
Or at least that's my opinion.

I've been working on lining up some AMAZING giveaways/reviews that I am so, so excited to share with you ladies! And I've been working on a few posts that I think you ladies are really going to enjoy. Or at least I hope you do! There's tons of posts in my "draft" section just waiting to hit your eyes...we're just waiting for the exact right moment. Maybe when you least expect it?

In the meantime I'd love to hear how you all have been! Are you getting spring fever? {I know I am!} Find any new deals I should know about? Don't spare me any details! Also, if you'd like to take a stab at what our "big news" is please feel free. I'd love to hear some guesses!

Enjoy your Tuesday loves!

Saw It. Pinned It. Did It: Heart Banner

January 24, 2013

Hello loves! I'm stopping in today to do a quick link up with Stephanie and Katie for Saw It. Pinned It. Did It. And by quick I mean...excuse the poor quality of photos. They where snapped at 5:57am this morning and this post is quickly being written before I head off to work for the day.

My craft this week is a Valentine's Day craft because let's face it there's not many better days than Valentine's Day. A celebration of love in which I get chocolate and flowers? Bring.It.On! This craft is so easy it literally took my ten minutes. And, it didn't cost me anything as all the supplies where things I had on hand.
I think it turned out far too adorable and added just want my "mantel shelves" needed. Without further adu:

Inspiration:

Adorable right? I looked at that one and thought...but would it be cuter with adorable pink fabrics and bakers twine? Ahh duh! Of course it would!
And what do you get with adorable pink fabric, bakers twine and burlap? Something adorable just like this:

Creation:

And there you have it!
Enjoy your Thursday ladies! It's almost the weekend!
Whooooooo!

Wedding Recap: Getting Ready

January 23, 2013

So, I've been promising you wedding recaps for what seems like forever and there are two reasons why I've yet to get to them. The first being that I wanted to make sure I had enough time to devote to putting them together. Our wedding was by far the most important day of my life thus far and I wanted to be sure to give it the time and attention it deserved when blogging about it. Second is that we literally just got our wedding photos back within the last month. Talk about taking forever right?! The wait was worth it though as we are so in love with our photos. I look at them and remember the joy that I felt in that day...having {tons of} family surrounding us and hearing all the happiness and well wishes they had for us. It was a magical day. One I won't ever forget.
We'll start the recaps today and I'll try my best to supply you with one each Wednesday there after. Hump day is about to get a whole lot better hey? I certainly think so! I'm going to warn you that each of these posts is going to be TOTAL overload. We have over 1,000 photos and I just want to share them all! {Don't worry...I'll only share half a few of them}

Wedding Recap: Getting Ready
I woke early the morning of the wedding after a night of total rock solid sleep. {Which was probably due to the NyQuil I took} I had showered the night before in preparation and spent the night in a hotel with my MOH. When our alarms rang sometime around 6:30am {props to my girls for getting up that early!} we worked on setting up for the hair dressers and make up girls who arrived at 7am. My mom and sister and {now} sister in law joined us as well and we spent the next three hours getting lovely. A few of the groomsmen wives stopped by with some morning treats.  The photographers arrived sometime around 10am while we where finishing up hair and starting taking photos of us getting dressed.
My dad and little brother stopped by for a bit too while we where getting ready. I helped dad with his tie and the photographer snapped one of my all time favorite photos from our wedding...my brother watching me have my dress laced up. Him and I are super close and to him getting married meant that Steve was taking me away and he'd never see me again. He was SO glad to hear that wasn't true!
While we got ready the guys where at the Golf Course finalizing details and getting themselves ready. I later learned that getting ready for them meant playing on the golf carts and enjoying a few swigs from their flasks.
Boys will be boys!

Up next week?
